Every year, about 400 children, half of them under the age of 5, are admitted to Belgian burn centres. That is more than 1 child per day! The hospital stay and rehabilitation is a very emotionally taxing experience for children and young people. Asbl Pinocchio tries in various ways to make the healing and rehabilitation process more pleasant and bearable for the children and their environment.

Epilepsy is the most common chronic brain disorder worldwide. In Belgium, 1 in 100 people has epilepsy. In a city like Ghent, for example, that would be more than 2,500 people. Not nothing! And yet, the average person on the street does not know this... This is due to the large taboo that still hangs around it, fueled by various incorrect myths.

Izindlovu Fund

Every elephant needs a herd. As a species, their strong family bonds and delicate social dynamics are an integral part of their well-being and survival. This means that orphaned elephant calves have a small chance of surviving in the wild. Our Belgian NPO Izindlovu is a 100% non-profit that is committed to the conservation of the African elephant, which is endangered.
